Ace Frehley

Ace Frehley, born Paul Daniel Frehley on April 27, 1951, is best known as the original lead guitarist and co-founding member of the iconic rock band KISS, famous for his "Spaceman" persona. Hailing from the Bronx, New York, he carved his niche in the rock world with his distinctive guitar-playing style, replete with vibrato and lightning-fast licks, which has inspired countless musicians. After leaving KISS in the early 1980s, Frehley embarked on a solo career that further solidified his status as a guitar hero. He released his self-titled debut album in 1978, which included the hit "New York Groove."

Over the years, Frehley has continued to forge a successful solo career, marked by a steady stream of releases that showcase his virtuosic guitar work and songwriting skills. After a hiatus, he resurfaced with "Anomaly" in 2009, reaffirming his relevance in the rock scene with a deluxe edition later. His series of "Origins" albums, with "Origins Vol. 1" released in 2016 and "Origins Vol.2" in 2020, features covers of classic rock songs that have influenced his career, including collaborations with fellow guitar legends like Slash. Frehley's penchant for sci-fi and his cosmic alter ego have never been far from his work, as seen in recent singles like "Space Truckin'" and "Bronx Boy.” His 2018 album "Spaceman" continues to showcase Ace's talent for melding hard rock riffs with an other-worldly flair that remains unique and authentic. Ace Frehley remains a highly respected and influential figure in rock music, known for his contribution to the guitar world and his indelible impact on the genre's history.
