Hanne Boel

Hanne Boel is a Danish singer known for her distinctive blend of soul, jazz, pop, and R&B. She first rose to prominence in the late 1980s and became one of Denmark’s best-selling artists, celebrated for her emotionally rich voice and sophisticated sound. With a career spanning several decades, she has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to evolve musically, earning critical acclaim and a loyal fan base across Scandinavia and beyond.

Boel began her musical journey with a background in jazz, including formal studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She gained early recognition as a member of the Danish funk band Blast before launching her successful solo career. Her solo debut, “Black Wolf” (1988), was followed by a string of hit albums during the ’90s, cementing her status as a major figure in Danish music.
