Gordon Safari

Gordon Safari is a dynamic conductor and organist based in Salzburg, Austria, known for his vibrant approach to both historical and contemporary music. He’s the founder and artistic director of Ensemble BachWerkVokal, an ensemble that’s quickly gained international recognition for its fresh takes on early music and its commitment to reviving forgotten works. Under Safari’s leadership, the group has released several acclaimed albums, including “Cantate Domino,” “Jesu meine Freude,” “Genug,” and “Jauchzet & Lobet,” all of which have been praised for their energy and stylistic insight.

Beyond his work with BachWerkVokal, Safari is also a driving force in modern music theater.
