Danielle De Picciotto

Danielle de Picciotto is a multidisciplinary artist and musician known for her hauntingly atmospheric soundscapes and evocative storytelling. Born in the United States and based in Berlin, she's a founding figure of the city's legendary Love Parade and has been a key player in its underground music and visual arts scenes since the early '90s. A solo performer and frequent collaborator, Danielle's work blends spoken word, cinematic compositions, and experimental elements, often exploring themes of transformation, travel, and inner reflection.

She regularly partners with her husband, Alexander Hacke of Einstürzende Neubauten, with whom she has released several albums and performed extensively across the globe. Danielle's solo releases—including Paper Memories and The Element Of Love—offer a deeply personal perspective, marrying minimal instrumentation with textured vocals and poetic depth. In addition to her music, she is also a visual artist and author, bringing a rich, cross-disciplinary approach to everything she creates.
