Julie Dahle Aagård

Julie Dahle Aagård is a Norwegian jazz vocalist born on December 30, 1978, in Flatanger. She is a graduate of the Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonsevatorium (now part of NTNU), where she earned her degree in 2002. Julie has been active in both music and theater, performing in various productions such as her own cabaret *Julie, heilt ålein* and playing the lead role in *Piaf* at Det Norske Teatret in 2005. Her musical career includes collaborations with bands like Gutvik 5, Cannonballs, and Reggae Kings, as well as being a leading figure in the quintet Subtonic. She has released several solo albums, including *Det Klaraste Lyset* (1997), *Goodnight Stranger* (2001), and *Stompin' Feet* (2009), which was nominated for a Spellemannprisen in the category of Female Artist.

Julie Dahle Aagård's music often blends elements of soul, blues, and gospel with jazz, creating a unique and soulful sound. She has toured with Trondheim Voices and continues to perform with her own band, offering raw and energetic concert experiences. Her sister, Tora Dahle Aagård, is also involved in music, and Julie has collaborated with other artists, such as appearing on TORA's track "Born Without Bones" in 2016.
