Pete Rodriguez is a Puerto Rican singer and bandleader who has been active in the music industry for over 50 years. He is best known for his work in the genres of salsa and Latin jazz. Rodriguez was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, in 1934. He began his musical career as a teenager, singing in local clubs and on the radio. In the early 1960s, he formed his own band, Pete Rodriguez y Su Orquesta. The band quickly gained popularity, and Rodriguez became one of the most popular salsa singers in the world. He has recorded over 50 albums and has toured extensively throughout the world. Rodriguez is a Grammy Award winner and has been inducted into the International Latin Music Hall of Fame.
