Lagwagon

Lagwagon, the seminal punk rock band hailing from Goleta, California, has been an unabashed wave-maker in the skate punk subgenre since their formation in 1990. The band was originally named Section VIII, but soon adopted the moniker Lagwagon, becoming the very first band to sign with Fat Wreck Chords, the prominent independent label started by NOFX's Fat Mike. Lagwagon's unique sound is characterized by their melodic approach to punk and lyrics that blend poignancy with wit, often reflecting on personal and societal issues.

Lagwagon shot to prominence during the 1990s punk resurgence, releasing a succession of well-received albums. "Duh" (1992) marked their debut, introducing a blend of sharp punk energy and catchy melodies. This was followed by the likes of "Trashed" (1994) and "Hoss" (1995), the latter standing out with complex guitar work and improved production. They continued to build on their sound with "Double Plaidinum" (1997) and "Let's Talk About Feelings" (1998). Despite lineup changes and a brief hiatus, the band persisted, returning with strong releases such as "Blaze" (2003), "Resolve" (2005), and the reflective "Hang" (2014). Their latest full-length album, "Railer" (2019), showcases Lagwagon's unwavering commitment to evolve within their genre while staying true to their punk rock roots. Through decades of dynamic performances and consistent output, Lagwagon has secured their status as an enduring force within the punk rock community.
