Night Riots

Night Riots, an American alternative rock band, is known for its dark, anthemic melodies and infectious rhythms that draw on the traditions of 80s synth-pop and modern indie rock. Originating from San Luis Obispo, California, the band was formed in 2010 under the name PK before rebranding itself as Night Riots in 2013. Fronted by charismatic lead vocalist Travis Hawley, the lineup includes Nick Fotinakes on guitar, Matt DePauw on guitar, Mikel Van Kranenburg on bass, and Rico Rodriguez on drums. Their sound is characterized by a blend of synths, strong guitar riffs, and Hawley's evocative vocal style, which has resonated with fans across the globe.

Night Riots gained increased attention with the release of their 2015 EP "Howl", which included the hit single "Contagious," propelling them onto the national stage and earning recognition from the likes of Sirius XM's Alt Nation. The band's commitment to artistic growth and depth is reflected in their body of work, including full-length albums such as "Love Gloom" (2016) and "New State Of Mind" (2019). The latter's title track has been rendered into multiple versions—including live, demo, remix, and acoustic versions—which showcase the band's versatility and willingness to experiment with their sound. Songs like "Loyal To The Game" and "Tokyo Diamond Eyes" further cement Night Riots' reputation for crafting moody, cinematic rock that's as reflective as it is compelling to listen to.
