B.T. Express

B.T. Express was a funk and disco band from Brooklyn, New York, best known for their infectious grooves and dancefloor-ready hits in the 1970s. Originally formed as Brooklyn Transit Express, the group quickly shortened their name and made a splash with their debut album, Do It ('Til You're Satisfied), in 1974. That record went gold, fueled by chart-topping tracks like “Do It ('Til You're Satisfied)” and “Express,” both of which became staples of the funk and soul scenes.

With a tight rhythm section, funky horn arrangements, and a knack for irresistible hooks, B.T. Express carved out a place for themselves in the golden era of funk and disco. They remained active through the late '70s and early '80s, continuing to release danceable tracks like “Shout!” and “Give Up the Funk (Let’s Dance).” Their legacy lives on through countless samples and DJ sets that still keep their groove alive today.
