Shogun

Shogun is the stage name of Andrew Chen, an American trance DJ and producer of Asian descent, originally from Southern California. Known for his captivating progressive trance sound, Shogun has gained significant recognition in the electronic music scene, with support from major industry figures like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Gareth Emery, and Above & Beyond. He made history as the first Asian American DJ signed to Armin van Buuren’s label, Armada Music. Andrew began DJing at age 16 and honed his skills by warming up for legendary DJs like Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold, eventually becoming a resident at the Ministry of Sound in Taipei. His tracks such as "Imprisoned," "Save Me," and "Skyfire" have earned him a spot on leading trance radio shows and high rankings in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs.

Shogun has also diversified his creativity by launching aliases like NXNJAS and Neo Tokyo, broadening his production range while maintaining his trance roots. He has performed at major international festivals including Tomorrowland, EDC, and A State of Trance. With a background in audio engineering, Andrew produces his music in a professional home studio, delivering fresh and versatile trance anthems that continue to resonate worldwide. His passion for music and dedication have established him as a prominent and influential figure in the trance and progressive electronic music community.
