Blackstratblues is the solo project of Mumbai-based guitarist, composer, and producer Warren Mendonsa, known for his distinctive style of blues-infused rock instrumental music. Warren first gained prominence as a member of the Indian rock band Zero before moving to New Zealand, where he began his solo project in 2007. Blackstratblues' music is characterized by Warren's melodic approach, an exquisite touch on the guitar, and the seamless incorporation of blues, rock, and soul elements.

The project's debut album, "Nights in Shining Karma," released in 2007, introduced listeners to Warren's personal brand of emotive instrumental storytelling.
