Living Machines

Living Machines is a progressive metal band known for weaving a rich science fiction narrative into their music, set in the dark, futuristic Gemini universe. The band creates an immersive experience by combining their dynamic, heavy sound with a transmedia storytelling approach that includes a comic book series titled "Gemini: A Tale of Future Earth," written by drummer and vocalist Quinn McGraw and illustrated by David Cousens. Their debut record, independently released in January 2018, was produced with the help of Nicolas and Amael of Novelists/DNA Music Studio, and the band has released several music videos directed by Teaghan McGinnis. Their songs, like “Valkyrie V2,” explore themes of struggle and camaraderie amid an apocalyptic sci-fi setting, offering fans a blend of gripping metal and narrative depth.

The lineup features Quinn McGraw (bass/vocals), Ryan Card (vocals), Robin Fussell (guitar), Mason Dry (guitar), and Connor Smyth (drums). Through their music and visual storytelling, Living Machines invite listeners into a complex world of human conflict and survival, expressed with passionate performances and a futuristic metal sound. Their work is notable for its combination of concept-driven progressive metal with multimedia elements, making them a unique presence in the metal scene.
