HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR was a Japanese rock band that fused the intensity of rock with the melodicism of pop to create a sound that resonated with fans both domestically and internationally. Active from 2003 until their disbandment in 2010, the group originated from Okinawa, and they quickly made a name for themselves with their vibrant energy and engaging performances. Comprised of members Mākii (vocalist), Yuusuke (vocalist), Kazuto (guitarist), MEG (guitarist), Mackaz (bassist), and SASSY (drummer), the band's dynamic allowed for an interplay between male and female vocals, which set them apart from many of their contemporaries in the J-rock scene.

During their active years, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR produced a number of hits that contributed to their legacy as icons in the rise of Japanese rock music in the early 2000s. Notable releases such as "一輪の花," featured as an opening theme for the popular anime "Bleach," and "PRIDE," used as a theme in the anime series "Gundam SEED Destiny," helped increase their popularity and solidified their connection to the anime community. Albums like "Swamp Man" and "BEEEEEEST," a compilation showcasing their most influential tracks, along with singles like "HOT LIMIT" and "DIVE into YOURSELF," have left an indelible mark on fans and continue to be celebrated years after the band's dissolution.
