Dun Ringill

Dun Ringill is a Swedish band from Gothenburg that was formed in 2017, initially as a dark and doomy project with Nordic folk influences. The group is known for creating music with big harmonies and lyrics that delve into themes of darkness and evil. The band's lineup features Patrik Andersson Winberg on bass, along with other seasoned musicians from Sweden's metal scene, including guitarists Tommy Stegemann, Jens Florén, and Patric Grammann, and drummer Neil Grant, who joined in 2020. Their sound is a blend of Nordic folk, doom, and progressive metal, as evident in their albums "Welcome" and "Library of Death".

Dun Ringill's recent work includes the double concept album "150, Where the Old Gods Play," which consists of two acts and is inspired by a movie script written by band member Patrik Andersson Winberg and Jonas Granath. The story is set in Scotland and explores themes of religious manipulation. The band has gained recognition through tours and festival performances with notable acts like Church of Misery, Year of the Goat, and Elder.
