Banknote Mitch

**Banknote Mitch**, real name Mitchell Similton (born February 20, 1986), is a Charlotte, NC-based rapper, entrepreneur, and founder of Black Array Entertainment who's turned a tough life into gritty beats and beats for the streets. Raised in Concord and Charlotte after his family's home burned down, he got caught up with the East Coast Blood Gang early, landing in juvie at 13 for attempted murder, but fatherhood at 17 flipped the script—he dove into music, linking with heavy hitters like Slip-N-Slide, Roc-A-Fella, and G-Unit before getting blackballed in 2008.

Bouncing back strong, he signed with G-Unit co-founder Bang’em Smurf in 2015, dropped his debut EP *Accession to the Throne*, and built his label with mixtapes like *Warning Sign (Slime Season 4 No Young Thug)*, *Field of Dreams*, and *The Reincarnation of Rich Porter*—plus recent royalty-free instrumental packs like *In The Bank Vault* series and tracks such as *Dreams Of a O.G.*, *Air Zone*, and *Romeo and Juliet*. Beyond rhymes, he's an activist feeding the homeless, speaking on police brutality, and even penned the "49th Law of Power" on embracing authenticity.
