Paper Rifles

Paper Rifles is an Edinburgh-based rock band with roots in North East Scotland. The band members, Jon Dick (vocals and guitar), Kev Cameron (guitar and vocals), Kieran Andrews (bass), and James Johnson (drums and recording), grew up in Dundee, Kirriemuir, and Ellon. Initially, Paper Rifles began as Jon Dick's solo project in 2014, evolving into a full band over time. Their music blends elements of punk, rock, and folk, with a strong emphasis on melodies and harmonies. Tracks like "It Always Rains In Scotland" showcase their ability to craft catchy, anthemic songs that resonate with audiences. The band's influences range from The Eagles and Manic Street Preachers to Frank Turner, reflecting their eclectic musical style.

Paper Rifles have released several notable tracks and albums, including "The State Of It All" and "It Always Rains In Scotland." Their music often touches on themes of everyday life, politics, and personal experiences, making them a versatile act within the punk and rock scenes. Despite not being a traditional touring band due to family commitments and jobs, they continue to create and perform music in a flexible and collaborative manner.
