Shannon & The Clams

Shannon & The Clams is an American indie garage punk band known for their vintage sound that echoes the essence of 1960s garage rock, doo-wop, and surf. Hailing from Oakland, California, the group was formed in 2009 by lead vocalist and bassist Shannon Shaw, guitarist Cody Blanchard, and drummer Ian Amberson. Over the years, their lineup has expanded to further enrich their distinct and vibrant sound.

With a discography marked by emotional rawness and sonic nostalgia, Shannon & The Clams have carved out a niche for themselves in the underground music scene. Their 2021 release, "Year Of The Spider," offers a compelling blend of ferocious riffs and haunting melodies, with themes touching on personal struggles and societal issues. The preceding album, "Onion," released in 2018 and produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, showcases their ability to evolve while staying true to their core influences. Their earlier works, including "Gone by the Dawn" and "Sleep Talk," exhibit the band's dedication to crafting tales of heartache and joy, backed by their signature lo-fi sound that continues to captivate a growing audience looking for a modern twist on classic styles.
