TV Smith
TV Smith is an English singer-songwriter and musician, best known for his work with the punk rock band The Adverts. Born Thomas Vernon Smith in 1951, he formed The Adverts in 1976 with Gaye Advert (guitar), Laurie Driver (bass), and Rodney Allen (drums). The band released two albums, "Crossing the Red Sea with The Adverts" (1978) and "Cast of Thousands" (1979), before disbanding in 1979. Smith has since pursued a solo career, releasing over 20 albums and touring extensively. His music often explores themes of social and political commentary, and he is known for his distinctive vocal style and energetic live performances.
