Middle Kids is an Australian indie rock band hailing from Sydney, formed in 2016. The trio consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Hannah Joy, her husband, Tim Fitz, on bass and backing vocals, and drummer Harry Day. The synergy between the members is palpable, with Joy's poignant lyrics and emotive vocal delivery perfectly complemented by Fitz's innovative production and Day's dynamic drumming. After breaking onto the scene with their self-titled EP in 2017, which included the breakout single "Edge of Town," Middle Kids quickly garnered international attention and praise for their compelling songwriting and energetic live performances.

In recent years, Middle Kids have continued to solidify their place in the indie music landscape with a string of successful releases. "Today We’re The Greatest," released in 2021, is both the title track of their critically acclaimed second album and a rousing anthem that showcases their growth and confidence as a band. With a knack for crafting infectious melodies and reflective lyrics, the group has demonstrated versatility through singles like the driving "Bootleg Firecracker" and the intimate "Bootleg Firecracker (Nighttime Piano Version)." Their ability to interpret and reimagine works is also evident in their rendition of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s License,” performed for triple j's Like A Version series. Middle Kids continue to earn new fans with every release, exploring different soundscapes while staying true to the heartfelt storytelling that has become their signature.
