Love As Laughter

Love As Laughter is an American indie rock band that originally started as a side project for singer and guitarist Sam Jayne in 1994, following the breakup of his previous band, Lync. The project quickly evolved into a full-fledged band, carving out its own space within the indie rock scene with its lo-fi aesthetic and heartfelt songwriting. While Love As Laughter has seen a rotating cast of musicians over the years, Jayne remained the consistent core and driving force of the band throughout its history.

Over the years, Love As Laughter released several albums and EPs that showcased their evolution in sound, including "Destination 2000" and "Sea To Shining Sea." The band's eighth album, "Holy," which came out in 2008, continued to build on their legacy with its well-crafted rock tunes infused with a mix of sarcasm and sincerity. The blend of garage rock, quirky indie, and a touch of folk in their music has allowed them to maintain a devoted fan base. Love As Laughter has been recognized for their contributions to alternative music and their commitment to staying true to their distinctive musical vision despite the ever-changing landscape of the music industry.
