Strigoi

Strigoi is a UK-based extreme metal band formed by guitarist and vocalist Greg Mackintosh, best known for his work with Paradise Lost. After ending his crust punk/death metal project Vallenfyre, Mackintosh launched Strigoi in 2018 to further explore a blend of death metal, black metal, and grindcore. The band’s sound is dark, aggressive, and often laced with bleak atmospheres, reflecting both personal and sociopolitical themes.

Strigoi released their debut album "Abandon All Faith" in 2019, a powerful statement that built on Mackintosh’s previous work while pushing into heavier and more experimental territory. In 2022, they followed up with "Viscera," further refining their intense sonic assault and solidifying their place in the extreme metal scene. Alongside drummer Chris Casket and a rotating lineup of live members, Strigoi continues to carve out a unique path marked by furious riffs, crushing rhythms, and unrelenting darkness.
