Allister

Allister is an American pop punk band hailing from Chicago, Illinois, known for their energetic riffs, catchy hooks, and relatable lyrics that encapsulate the youthful rebellion and angst of the late 90s and early 2000s. The group was originally formed in 1994 by Tim Rogner (vocals, guitar), John Hamada (guitar, vocals), Eric "Skippy" Mueller (bass), and Chris Smith (drums) under the name Phineas Gage, but they would later adopt the name Allister after signing to Drive-Thru Records.

Gaining prominence during the pop-punk boom, Allister released several impactful records. "Dead Ends & Girlfriends" (1999) marked their full-length debut, and it set the stage for their breakthrough with "Last Stop Suburbia" (2002), an album that resonates with fans for its infectious melodies and spirited energy. Following that success, the band continued to evolve their sound with "Before The Blackout" (2005) and "Countdown to Nowhere" (2010), maintaining their position in the punk scene despite changes in membership and the shifting musical landscape. Their 2012 release, "Life Behind Machines," solidified their legacy as stalwarts of the genre, showing a matured sound while still staying true to the roots that first brought them acclaim. With years of tours, festival slots, and a dedicated fan base, Allister remains a beloved touchstone for those who grew up with the pop-punk wave at the turn of the millennium.
