He hails from Daveyton, South Africa, and has been instrumental in shaping the AmaPiano genre, a subgenre of house music that has gained international recognition. Gaba Cannal began his music career as a hip-hop producer at the age of 18 and later transitioned to AmaPiano, releasing his debut EP "Abundance" in 2014. This marked the beginning of his journey as a pioneer in the genre. He has collaborated with notable artists like Busiswa on hits such as "Umhlaba Wonke" and has performed alongside both local and international acts.
