Grace Martine Tandon, professionally known as Daya, is an American singer and songwriter who burst onto the music scene with her hit single "Hide Away" in 2015. Born on October 24, 1998, Daya grew up in the Pittsburgh suburb of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and demonstrated a deep passion for music from a young age. She learned to play the piano at just three years old and eventually picked up additional instruments, including the guitar, ukulele, and saxophone.
