Yahal Kab

**Yahal Kab** is a music group known as "Despertar de la tierra" in the Maya language, translating to "Awakening of the Earth." Founded in 1978 by guitarist Ricardo Vega and his flutist brother Alvaro Vega, Yahal Kab specializes in interpreting and spreading Yucatecan trova and Son Cubano music. Not only influential in Mexico, but they have also performed internationally, making them one of the most important and representative ensembles of Yucatecan and Caribbean musical traditions. Their discography includes notable works such as "Yucaribe," "Nunca Estaré Solo," and "Dos Estilos, Una Trova," showcasing their rich contribution to traditional music.

Yahal Kab has collaborated with various other artists and composers, often working with ALG Record for production, recording, mixing, and mastering their projects. Their legacy continues through performances and albums that celebrate the cultural depth of the region.
