Zhengtao Pan is a versatile composer and arranger born in 2003 in Shanghai, China. He is currently studying Jazz Composition and Composition at Berklee College of Music. Pan has already made significant contributions to the music industry, including scoring for popular video games like "Mist Sequence," "Lost Soul Aside," and "Arknights." Beyond his work in media, he is an accomplished arranger and orchestrator for jazz orchestras and Big Bands. His Big Band compositions have been performed by esteemed musicians such as Steven Feifke’s Big Band and jazz saxophonist Alexa Tarantino.
Pan's recent work includes his debut album "Scenery in My Story," which showcases his ability to blend American jazz with Chinese musical influences. The album is a personal and emotional journey, reflecting his experiences moving from Shanghai to Boston. He collaborates with prominent jazz artists like Benny Benack III and Walter Smith III in this project. Additionally, Pan is engaged in virtual singer and Vocaloid projects, sharing his music on platforms like Bilibili. His musical endeavors reflect a wide range of creative interests and collaborations, solidifying his place as a rising figure in the jazz and broader music scenes.
