Rodrigo Lima is a Brazilian composer born in Guarulhos, São Paulo, in 1976. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Musical Composition from the University of Brasília and a Master's degree from the University of Campinas State in São Paulo. Lima is known for his contemporary compositions, which have been featured at prestigious festivals and concert halls across Brazil, Latin America, Europe, and the United States. His work spans orchestral music, chamber pieces, solo instruments, vocal works, and choral compositions. He has earned several accolades, including the International Iberoamericano Rodolfo Halffter Composition Prize and the National Arts Foundation award in Brazil, among others.
Lima's music has been performed by renowned ensembles like Ensemble Aleph (France), Proxima Centauri (France), and the University of São Paulo Symphony, under conductors from various countries. He currently teaches composition at the EMESP School of Music of São Paulo State and is a member of the General Society of Authors and Editors in Spain.
