Niklas Johansen
Niklas Johansen is a Danish classical guitarist born in 1989 in Copenhagen. He began playing guitar at the age of nine and started his formal studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2009 under Jesper Sivebæk. Niklas has achieved international recognition by winning numerous first prizes at guitar competitions across Europe and China, showcasing his exceptional talent. He holds advanced degrees from prestigious institutions, including the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar and the Universidad de Alicante, where he studied with renowned guitarists such as David Russell and Manuel Barrueco, graduating with the highest honors.
Known for his passionate interpretations and commitment to contemporary music, Niklas has performed globally as a soloist and chamber musician, appearing with notable orchestras like the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. He is also dedicated to education, holding teaching positions at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and co-founding the Danish Guitar Camp summer course. His recordings and live performances have reached wide audiences, making him a respected figure in the classical guitar world.
