Gaza

Gaza was an American extreme metal band hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, known for their blend of sludge metal, grindcore, and mathcore elements, creating a uniquely abrasive and intense sound. Founded in the early 2000s, the group quickly established a reputation for confronting, nihilistic lyrics and relentless, heavy riffs.

Gaza released their three full-length albums between 2006 and 2012. Their debut album, "I Don't Care Where I Go When I Die," erupted onto the scene in 2006 with a ferocious statement of the band's musical and thematic intentions. The follow-up, "He Is Never Coming Back," arrived in 2009 and continued their descent into darker lyrical territory, matched by a more honed and heavy sonic assault. The band's final album, "No Absolutes in Human Suffering," released in 2012, is often cited as their most mature and devastating work. It combined their sonic trademarks with more complex structures and searing social commentary. Although widespread recognition within the broader music community eluded them, Gaza carved out a cult following among fans of metal's extreme fringes. Despite their apparent dissolution, their music continues to resonate with those who seek out the darkest corners of the metal genre.
