Kayente is the stage name of Rayner Lisse, a Dutch musician, singer, songwriter, dancer, and producer with Surinamese roots. Growing up in a musical family in Amsterdam’s Bijlmermeer, he became known as a live DJ, dancer, and performer, especially in the bubbling and kaseko scenes. Early in his career, Kayente was a vocalist for the band La Rouge and later joined the group 2Famous, with whom he scored hits like "Djoegoe Djoegoe" in 2011. He has also topped the charts in Suriname with tracks such as "Kirikhaibana" (2013) and "An djuka uma" (2014), earning recognition as one of the leading artists bridging Dutch and Surinamese pop culture.
A dedicated live performer, Kayente has appeared at major events including Carifesta in Suriname and the Antilliaanse Feesten in Belgium. His energetic stage presence and genre-blending music—spanning bubbling, kaseko, and pop—have made him a standout talent within the Dutch and Surinamese music scenes.
