Crownshift

Crownshift is a Finnish metal band formed by four experienced musicians from notable bands in the Finnish metal scene. The lineup includes Daniel Freyberg on guitars, known for his work with Children of Bodom and Bodom After Midnight; Tommy Tuovinen on vocals, previously with MyGrain; Jukka Koskinen on bass, who has played with Nightwish and Wintersun; and Heikki Saari on drums, formerly of Finntroll. Their music blends various styles, creating a modern and powerful sound that reflects their diverse backgrounds. Crownshift released their self-titled debut album in 2024, which features a mix of melodic and heavy elements, drawing influences from bands like Devin Townsend and Strapping Young Lad.

Crownshift's recent releases include singles like "If You Dare," "A World Beyond Reach," and "My Prison," showcasing their ability to craft both melodic and aggressive metal tracks. The band's formation marks a new chapter for these musicians, who have previously worked together in different capacities, such as in the last lineup of Norther. With their debut album, Crownshift aims to leave a significant mark on the metal scene, combining their collective experience with a fresh, ambitious sound.
