S.D. Batish was a prolific Indian composer and musician known particularly for his work scoring Bollywood films. Active from the 1970s through the 1990s, he composed the music for numerous movies, including several listed above like *Toofan*, *Haar Jeet*, and *Ek Armaan Mera*. While film scores formed a significant part of his output, he also created other musical works, ranging from devotional albums like *Ram Bhajans* to meditative pieces featuring instruments like the dilruba, as seen in *Om Shanti Meditation, Dilruba*. His exploration of Indian classical music is evident in releases like *72 Carnatic Melakarta Series Volume 1*.

Though details about his life are scarce, his musical legacy remains through his diverse body of work. He clearly had a passion for exploring different genres and moods, leaving behind a catalog that includes everything from the drama of Bollywood soundtracks to the tranquility of devotional and meditative music.
