Purling Hiss is a psychedelic rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed in 2009. The band is led by Mike Polizze, who is the primary songwriter and vocalist. Purling Hiss's music is characterized by its fuzzed-out guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and Polizze's distinctive, reverb-drenched vocals. The band has released several albums and EPs, including "High Bias" (2013), "Water on Mars" (2015), and "Weirdon" (2018). Purling Hiss has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as The Black Lips, Ty Segall, and Thee Oh Sees.
