Sarah Willis

Sarah Willis is a renowned French horn player best known for her role as a member of the Berlin Philharmonic, one of the world’s leading orchestras. Born in the United States and raised in various countries, including Tokyo and Moscow, Sarah eventually settled in the U.K., where she studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She joined the Berlin Philharmonic in 2001 and has since become a prominent advocate for both classical and contemporary music.

In addition to her orchestral work, Sarah is known for bridging the gap between classical music and broader audiences through innovative projects and media. One of her most celebrated initiatives is “Mozart y Mambo,” a joyful fusion of Mozart’s music with traditional Cuban styles, reflecting her deep connection to Cuban culture and musicians. She’s also a passionate educator and media presenter, hosting the online series “Horn Hangouts,” where she interviews other musicians and gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the world of classical performance.
