Sacrifice is a Canadian thrash metal band formed in Toronto in 1983, widely regarded as pioneers of the country’s extreme metal scene. Bursting onto the stage with raw energy, they dropped their fierce debut album, *Torment in Fire* (1986), followed by *Forward to Termination* (1987), both cementing their reputation for blistering riffs and politically charged lyrics. After a hiatus in the ’90s, they roared back in 2006, reclaiming their throne with fresh material like *The Ones I Condemn* (2020) and *2021’s apocalyptic *World War V*. Known for relentless live shows (check out *Live in 85* for proof), their sound blends old-school thrash with hints of death metal, influencing generations of headbangers. Still thrashing hard today, Sacrifice remains a defiant force in metal’s underground.
