Eamonn Dougan is a highly respected figure in the classical music world, known for his versatility as both a conductor and a singer. He serves as the Associate Conductor of the renowned vocal ensemble The Sixteen and is the founding Director of Britten Sinfonia Voices. Additionally, he holds positions as Music Director of the Thomas Tallis Society and Chief Conductor of the Jersey Chamber Orchestra. Eamonn has conducted numerous acclaimed performances, including a critically praised series of Polish Baroque music with The Sixteen. His educational background includes studying music at New College, Oxford, and further vocal and conducting studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Eamonn's recent work includes directing several notable recordings, such as the Polish Baroque series featuring composers like Bartlomiej Pekiel and Marcin Mielczewski. He has also been involved in projects with other ensembles, showcasing his wide-ranging repertoire and expertise in choral music. As a Visiting Professor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Eamonn shares his knowledge with the next generation of musicians, teaching ensemble singing and directing the Guildhall Consort.
