Dekoy SacredScripts, whose real name is Dakota Shepherd, is a First Nations artist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, originally from White Bear First Nation. He uses music as a powerful tool to inspire and uplift others, drawing from his personal experiences. Dekoy has been involved in music since he was 12, producing beats and writing songs, and has also performed as a powwow (grass) dancer. He is the owner and operator of the clothing brand and record label "Love 4 the Culture," which has reached thousands of youth across Canada and the United States. Dekoy's music career is complemented by his work as a freelance videographer and audio engineer, focusing on projects that highlight community resilience and First Nations stories.
