American Head Charge

American Head Charge is an industrial metal band hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, renowned for their intense sonic aggression blended with layers of industrial samples, heavy riffs, and raw, emotional lyrics. Formed in 1997 by Cameron Heacock (vocals) and Chad Hanks (bass), the band carved out a unique niche within the nu-metal explosion of the late '90s and early 2000s. They gained a notorious reputation for their high-energy, often chaotic live shows which complemented the tumultuous nature of their music.

The band's most influential work, "The War of Art," was released in 2001 and met with critical acclaim. It propelled them to a wider audience, earning a spot on tours with bands like Slipknot, cementing their place in the heavy metal community. Despite dealing with various challenges, including lineup changes and hiatuses, American Head Charge's commitment to their art remained unwavering. "Tango Umbrella," released in 2016, showcased the band’s ability to evolve while maintaining the raw, powerful essence of their sound. The single "Let All the World Believe," off the same album, exemplifies the band’s enduring thematic focus on societal and personal turmoil. Tragically, co-founder Chad Hanks passed away in 2017, but the band's legacy endures through their potent discography and the impact they've made on fans and the metal scene.
