Love De Vice is a Polish progressive rock band that was formed in 2007 under the initial name Playfinger. The band's evolution began with a group of friends who had been playing music together since 1993. Their discography includes albums such as "Dreamland" (2009) and "Numaterial" (2010), showcasing their blend of progressive influences with elements reminiscent of bands like Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree. Love De Vice gained recognition for their dynamic live performances, including a notable concert at the Silesian Theatre in Katowice, captured on their live DVD "Silesian Night 11.11.11," released by Metal Mind Productions. This DVD features their unique blend of rock with oriental and classical elements, thanks in part to guest musicians like Mateusz Szmyt on cello and Tomasz "Ragaboy" Osiecki on dilruba.
The band has consisted of key members such as Paweł 'Ozzie' Granecki (lead vocals, guitars), Andrzej 'Messi' Archanowicz (lead guitars), Jacek Melnicki (keyboards), Robert 'R.i.P.' Pełka (bass), and Tomasz 'Kudel' Kudelski (drums). Their music often explores atmospheric and introspective themes, making them stand out in the progressive rock genre. Love De Vice's live performances are marked by their ability to blend new material with well-received covers, such as their rendition of Deep Purple's "When a Blind Man Cries."
