Gyula Kiss is a distinguished Hungarian pianist and music professor, born on June 11, 1944, in Budapest. He graduated with honors in 1967 as a pianist and music teacher, studying under Professor Pál Kadosa, and received the Liszt Ferenc Prize in 1972. Kiss has had an extensive career as a concert pianist, performing over 2,500 concerts across major cities in Europe, as well as in New York’s Carnegie Hall, Athens, Prague, Japan, Singapore, and Australia, often collaborating with leading Hungarian symphony orchestras. He has also been active as a professor at several music institutions, including the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and is known for his involvement with the Gyula Kiss International Piano Competition in Tokyo.
His repertoire notably includes works by Bartók, Mozart, and Brahms, showcasing his classical and romantic piano expertise. Kiss's significant awards and international presence have made him a respected figure in the classical music world, both as a performer and educator.
