Paquitas

Paquitas were a Brazilian children's group originally formed in 1986 as assistants (or "assistentes de palco") to the wildly popular children's TV host Xuxa. These young performers, chosen through auditions, sang, danced, and added an extra layer of energy to Xuxa's shows. They quickly gained their own dedicated following, releasing albums, starring in movies, and becoming pop culture icons in Brazil. Their music was generally upbeat and catchy, with themes of friendship, fun, and positive values, appealing to their young fanbase. Several generations of Paquitas cycled through the group over the years, with each lineup bringing its own fresh energy while maintaining the core Paquita identity.

The Paquitas phenomenon extended beyond Xuxa's shows, with the group achieving significant success in their own right.
