Harvey Malaihollo
Harvey Malaihollo is a renowned Indonesian singer, actor, and politician. Born on May 3, 1962, in Jakarta, he began his music career in the 1970s. Harvey is known for his soulful voice and has been active in the music industry for over four decades. He has released numerous albums and duets, including "Begitulah Cinta," and has won several awards in national and international song festivals, such as the Kawakami Special Award at the 13th World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo in 1982. Harvey's music style is primarily pop, and he has been influenced by international artists like Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole.
In addition to his music career, Harvey has ventured into politics. He became a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat) from 2022 to 2024, representing the Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDI-P) for Papua Barat. Harvey is married to Lolita Kusumahati Leimena and has two sons. He continues to perform and produce music, often collaborating with other notable artists to keep the legacy of Indonesian music alive.
