Steve Fulton

Steve Fulton is a seasoned singer-songwriter, producer, and recording engineer based in Boise, Idaho, where he runs Audio Lab recording studios. With a career spanning decades, Steve blends Americana, folk, and rock influences, weaving in touches of funk and reggae to create his distinctive sound. His music carries the spirit of acoustic-based folk legends like Bob Dylan and John Prine, with a modern edge influenced by artists such as Bruce Cockburn and Elliott Smith. Known for his high-energy performances whether solo or with a full band, Steve's work transports audiences through a rich musical tradition while keeping them dancing and singing along.

Before launching his solo career as SFM - Steve Fulton Music, he was the principal songwriter and guitarist for House of Hoi Polloi, a band that earned multiple "Best Band" honors in Boise during the 1990s. Steve has released several albums on his own Uncommon Records label, including "Shock Remission," "Said & Heard," and "Eponym," the latter reaching #1 at a popular independent record store. Over his career, he has shared the stage with well-known artists like Bruce Cockburn, Tori Amos, Jewel, and John Hiatt. Beyond performance, Steve is deeply committed to mentoring young musicians and engineers and frequently hosts workshops and recording opportunities to foster new talent.
