GZE

GZE, whose real name is Resilience Chekera, is a renowned Zimbabwean hip-hop artist known for his deep raspy voice and innovative use of Zimbabwean street language intertwined with complex metaphors. This has earned him a dedicated following among hip-hop fans. GZE's career began in the early 2000s as part of the Urban Grooves trio Trinity, alongside Vito and Andrew Msonzah. The group was part of the influential Jesa compilation album and released the critically acclaimed debut album *Chamhembe Plus Ini Iye, Naye*.

After a hiatus, GZE returned to music in 2013 with several successful singles, including collaborations with notable artists like Jnr Brown. His music often carries a message of social consciousness and progressive ideas, evident in tracks like *Hondo Nerudo*, which reflects his commitment to using music as a tool for societal critique and change. GZE's recent releases include *Lobola*, *Ka That So*, *Hondo NeRudo*, *Freestyle Fridays*, and *Muchinjikwa*, showcasing his ongoing influence in Zimbabwe's hip-hop scene.
