GZE, whose real name is Resilience Chekera, is a renowned Zimbabwean hip-hop artist known for his deep raspy voice and innovative use of Zimbabwean street language intertwined with complex metaphors. This has earned him a dedicated following among hip-hop fans. GZE's career began in the early 2000s as part of the Urban Grooves trio Trinity, alongside Vito and Andrew Msonzah. The group was part of the influential Jesa compilation album and released the critically acclaimed debut album *Chamhembe Plus Ini Iye, Naye*.
