5'nizza

5'nizza (pronounced "Pyatnitsa," meaning "Friday" in Russian) is a laid-back Ukrainian hip-hop duo that became a cultural phenomenon in the early 2000s. Formed in Kharkiv by Andrey "Sun" Zaporozhets and Sergey Babkin, their sound blends acoustic grooves, reggae rhythms, and poetic Russian/Ukrainian lyrics that resonate with everyday life. Their 2002 self-titled debut album turned them into overnight stars across Eastern Europe, with tracks like "Солдат" ("Soldier") becoming generational anthems.

After disbanding in 2007 to pursue solo projects, 5'nizza surprised fans with a 2019 reunion, dropping fresh tracks like "ЛИНЕ" and "О5" that kept their signature chill vibe alive. Their music – a mix of streetwise storytelling and campfire singalong energy – remains beloved for its simplicity and emotional honesty. Though they keep a low profile, their recent releases prove their chemistry hasn’t faded one bit.
