Rami Gabriel

Rami Gabriel is a Syrian-American oud player and composer who has been pushing the boundaries of traditional Arabic music for over two decades. Born in Damascus, Syria, Gabriel began playing the oud at a young age and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. He moved to the United States in the early 1990s and has since become one of the most respected and innovative oud players in the world. Gabriel's music is a unique blend of traditional Arabic melodies and rhythms with elements of jazz, rock, and classical music. He has performed with a wide range of artists, including Yo-Yo Ma, the Kronos Quartet, and the Silk Road Ensemble.
