Kurt Maloo is a Swiss singer-songwriter and musician best known as co-founder of the 1980s synth-pop duo Double, whose timeless hit “The Captain of Her Heart” sailed into international charts. After the duo’s split, Maloo carved out a solo career blending lounge, jazz, and breezy pop with his signature smoky vocals and poetic lyricism. Based in Zurich, he’s remained a low-key but persistent force in Europe’s music scene, releasing albums like *Loopy Avenue* and collaborating with artists across genres.
Recently, Maloo’s been revisiting his catalog with fresh energy, dropping the *Off the Record* volumes—collections of reworked tracks—and dreamy singles like *City of Rain* and *Come Over Here*.
