American Culture is an indie rock band from Olympia, Washington. Formed in 2014, the band consists of vocalist/guitarist Dennis Wages, bassist/vocalist Shane Tutmarc, and drummer/vocalist Jeremy Quentin. Their music is characterized by its jangly guitars, catchy melodies, and introspective lyrics. American Culture has released several albums and EPs, including "Pure American Gum" (2018) and "The Olympia Sessions" (2021). They have toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, sharing the stage with bands such as Built to Spill, The Shins, and Yo La Tengo.
