Trio Avileño is a Cuban musical group formed in 1944 in the city of Ciego de Ávila. The trio is composed of three voices and a guitar, and their music is a blend of traditional Cuban rhythms such as son, bolero, and guaracha, with influences from other genres such as jazz and classical music. Trio Avileño has released over 50 albums and has toured extensively throughout the world, performing at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House. They have also collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Buena Vista Social Club, Omara Portuondo, and Ibrahim Ferrer.
