Lukas Kasha

Lukas Kasha is a Norwegian rock band based in Oslo. Formed in 2000, the band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, with founding members Andreas Prestmo (vocals/guitar) and Sven Andréen (drums/backing vocals) remaining constant. The current lineup also includes Kristian Singstad Pålshaugen (guitar), Eyvind Brox (keyboards), Eivind Henjum (keyboards), and Jon Karlsen (bass). Lukas Kasha gained attention with their debut album *Animated People's Republic*, released in 2007, which included the popular single "Love Abuse." The band's name is inspired by the main character in Lloyd Alexander's novel *The First Two Lives of Lukas-Kasha*. Lukas Kasha has performed at various festivals, including Popkomm in Berlin and Eurosonic in Groningen.

Their music style is energetic and engaging, with a blend of indie and alternative rock elements. Some of their notable releases include *You Are My Drug* (an early EP), *Love Abuse*, and *Animated People's Republic*. The band has shared stages with notable acts like Juliette & the Licks and The Raveonettes. Despite their active touring and festival appearances, Lukas Kasha has not released a large volume of music, focusing instead on quality and live performances.
